Olympic Distance - 1.5K swim, 25.5 mile bike, 10K bike
Ben- Did the double this weekend with a ½ marathon on Saturday and the Triterium on Sunday. He improved on his previous best performance by 7 minutes, posted the fastest run split, and jumped to 3rd place in his division.
Charlie- Will someone do an aging study on this guy? At age 62, he just keeps getting faster, over 8 minutes faster than last year and moving up to 2nd place on the podium.
Dave D- Making huge improvements on the swim over the past several months put him right in the middle of the pack. He followed that with a solid bike-run combo for top 50% in the field.
Dotty- Her competition doesn’t even bother showing up… Dotty has declared herself the dominate leader in the 55-59 age group in the local tri scene and did it again on Sunday, showing she has no weakness in the sport of triathlon.
Ed- He left it all out on the course… crossing the finish line Ed said “I couldn’t do another lap”, and thankfully, he didn’t have to. He put 110% into the race and finished 5th in his division. Pretty good way to celebrate Father’s Day with son Ben out on the course as well.
Jeanne- Completed her first Olympic distance event on a seriously challenging course and is now ready for the next challenge. Sprint- check. Olympic- check. 70.3- on deck.
Jenn- Making a habit of visiting the podium on the local tri scene, Jenn was 3rd out of the water and posted the 2nd fastest bike split to cross the line 3rd in her division.
JenRN- This girl just keeps getting better and better. She improved in all 3 disciplines and bested her previous PR by over 12 minutes.
Meistro- On fire this year with the 25th fastest time overall, 4th in his uber-competitive division, and posted the 12th fastest swim of all competitors.
Michael- In just his second race at this distance, Michael chose the 2 hardest Olympic distance courses we have in this area. He likes a good challenge, and better yet, the sense of accomplishment at achieving the goal of the finish line. Congrats!
Sprint course - 1/3 mile swim, 11 mile bike, 3.1 mile run
Carolyn- Champ! Placed 1st in her age division by over 8 minutes, posted the fastest swim and bike splits of the day and cracked the top 10 overall as well.
Erin W- Continues to move up the results page, posting the 7th fastest swim and bike splits and breaking into the top 10 in her division.
Nell- In just the 2nd triathlon of her rookie triathlon career and first open water event, Nell led out of the water for her division and posted a solid bike-run combo to finish out the day.
Ronée- Another great performance improvement, boosting her to 3rd place female overall with the 2nd fastest bike split of the day.
