HHH-
Christine, Jenn and Shaun took on the 100K adventure of the Horribly Hilly Hundreds and all did fantastic. All our hill repeat practices have paid off. These three are well on their way to Ironman 2011 success!
High Cliff 1/2 Ironman
Alperen- Continues to display consistent improvement this season by racing faster in all 3 disciplines as well as transitions over last years performance and is excited about focusing on 1/2IM distance this season.
Verona Triterium Sprint
Tom – Raced to an awesome 2nd place finish in his age group with the 3rd fastest run split of all participants… in a pair of borrowed running shoes!
Miranda – MKZ showed that she ‘owns’ this course (and not the other way around as she claims it did to her a few years ago) with a strong effort that boosted her right onto the podium for 2nd place in her division.
Martha – In just her 3rd triathlon, proved that she just keeps getting better and better with a solid bike/run combo and top class support for all her teammates and friends.
Verona Triterium Olympic
Tino- Celebrated Father’s Day in perfect fashion, with full family support and claiming 2nd place in his division.
Jim – Dusted his coach (and the rest of his teammates) on the bike, averaging over 20mph over a very tough and hilly course.
Justin – Completed his first Olympic distance event and finished feeling strong and ready for the next challenge, Door County 1/2 IM!
Taylor – A bit of a bummer to omit the swim for this fish, but he still rocked out a solid bike/run effort for a super finish to the day.
Finally –thanks to our many volunteers including the “Triterium Volunteer MVP” Amol! Amol, in addition to great volunteer work, donated his shoes to fellow teammate Tom so he could race! Thanks also to Ken, Lisa, John, and Sue for great volunteer work. Madison Multisport officially won the 1st ever “Battle of the Tri Clubs” at the Triterium, a title we plan to defend next year!
