Wow, another great race day for Madison Multisport!Sprint Race
Lauren- Champion! She absolutely dominated the sprint race field, besting her next competitor by over 4 minutes and posted the fastest swim-bike combo.
Olympic
Brodie- Won his division with authority, posting the 3rd fastest swim, THE fastest bike and quick T1/T2 to top the competition.
Dennis- In potentially one of his best finishes to date, this rockstar was 2nd on both the bike and run, and blazed though the fastest transitions to climb to 2nd place on the podium.
We had 3 Olympic distance relay teams (all co-ed) competing not only for the overall team category, but for bragging rights among the Team.
MM1- Cindi, Jenn, Dave D – 1st relay out of the water and onto the bike, Jenn posted a speedy 20mph trying to keep Meistro in sight, then it was Dave’s personal best 10K of 47:25 that put this team 3rd place on the podium.
MM2- Carolyn, Meistro, Charlie – 2nd relay out of the water, Carolyn had a quick swim and handed off to Scott who’s mission it was to catch Jenn and put as much distance on her as he could, he posted almost 22mph for the 40K ride, then Charlie took off for a blistering 54:49 run on a very challenging course. 4th place overall team!
MM3- Candice, Anna, Nick (honorary member for the day) – Candice looked her fear in the face (open water) and charged around the lake to complete her longest open water swim to date, she handed off to Anna who sped through the challenging 40K course in over 18mph, then team ringer, Nick, blazed through the Governor Nelson trails in a 45:42 dominating run fro 8th place overall team.
MC200 (Madison to Chicago), 12 person relay team
Jon N- In just over 24 hours of continuous racing, Jon helped his team to 3rd place in the 6 male/6 female category and 11th place overall. Jon ran the longest combo of three legs (5.74, 6.86, 8.22) and averaged sub-6minute pace for the trio.
